Museo Honors Capital Campaign Donors Sheila Wishek and Lar Landa at the Italian Consulate

On Wednesday, September 28, the Museo held a special event hosted by the Italian Consulate to recognize Sheila Wishek and Lar Landa for their support of the Museo’s capital campaign.

60 guests gathered in the beautiful garden of the Italian Consulate and noshed on delicious Italian food (including Neapolitan-style pizza from the pizza oven in the garden) and wine from by Maico Campilongo and his wonderful team from Terún Pizzeria in Palo Alto.

Following remarks by Consul General Sergio Strozzi, Museo board members Sandra Bagnatori and James Sangiacomo, and Museo capital campaign consultant Mecca Billings, Lar Landa addressed the audience and encouraged all to join him and Wishek in supporting the Museo’s capital campaign that will create the preeminent cultural experience dedicated to the significant, and often untold, artistic, cultural, and business contributions of Italian immigrants to the Bay Area and beyond.

In addition to members of the Museo’s board of directors and Consul General Strozzi, other guests included Dan Bernal, Chief of Staff for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi; Sarah Crowe and Sam Yankovich, Field Representatives for Senator Dianne Feinstein; Steve Oliver, philanthropist and real estate developer; Fedele Bauccio, Co-Founder and CEO of Bon Appetit Management; Christopher Agosta, architect with Mark Cavagnero & Associates; Susan von Herrmann, Partner at Perkins Coie LLP; Nola Pardi Proll, visual artist; and Ezio Valdevit, inventor and entrepreneur.
